Experience Qigong, the ancient Chinese art of self-development, self-healing and awakening. With simple exercises, meditations and visualizations, discover your ability to cultivate wellness, generate true relaxation and boost your energy level.
Level 1 focuses on relaxing the physical body and on increasing overall vitality. The Lower Dantian, or lower energy center (just below the navel) is the Level 1 focal point. You will learn how to gather Qi in order to feel more energy and power.
Level 2 focuses on circulation qi throughout your body and releasing negative holding patterns and stagnant qi. The Middle Dantian or heart chakra is the focal point of Level 2. With practice, students learn to enter the calm state – a meditative experience of deep peace that helps the body and mind heal, then compassion and joy bubble up and open the heart.
Image medicine is the healing art of learning to activate your healing energies and use your hands to sense and remove blockages in yourself and others.
This series will involve exercises from both levels, Image Medicine, as well drawing from other qigong forms. Each class will be tailored to the participants present.
Zhong Yuan Qigong (ZYQ) is a complete system of self-development which evolved in the Shaolin area of China. It has ancient roots in Shamanism, Buddhism and Taoism. Instructor Jean Clough is a personal student of ZY Qigong Grandmaster and lineage holder, Xu Mingtang. She also studies with Ling Gui Grandmasters Dr. Lui Dong and Master Lui He.
