Study Chinese Medicine

EWWE and Dr. Zhao Fuxue of Henan Provine in China, are developing an exchange program so that Dr. Zhao can teach the wisdom of Chinese Medicine to interested and committed students, particularly in the West.  Dr. Zhao has so much to teach even experienced acupuncturists in the West, due to his unique experience as a Chinese Medicine Doctor who learned the old way – reading old texts and studying one on one with old masters.  Dr. Zhao desires to see his lifetime of learning passed on to new generations and new venues.

Karen Fletcher has been studying with him in his clinical practice in Zhengzhou, China.  We envision that instruction will take place in person with Dr. Zhao – in China and the US, as well as virtually.

THE HEART APPROACH to ZY Qigong

This All-Levels workshop reflects the evolution of Claire and Jerigtu’s teaching of ZY Qigong.   The approach is heart centered, as opening the heart is one of the most effective entry ways to enter the subtle realm of energy (qi) and information.  This refined awareness assists us in unifying the body and mind, bringing coherency to our emotions, energy, physical being and spiritual being.  Through consistent practice of being –  in this awareness, in the present, in the body, one becomes more fully “Zhen Ren.” or the genuine human being.

LEVEL 1 ZY Qigong
Level 1 focuses on relaxation and the physical body.  We practice releasing stagnation and blockages.  And we gather more energy to increase our vitality.

LEVEL 2 ZY Qigong
Level 2 moves into quietude and the energy body. We open the heart and gain compassion and calmness.

YI JIN JING – Classic Tendon Easing Qigong

Learn this classic and powerful qigong form, handed down, teacher to student since the 6th Century AD.  Yi Jin Jing improves circulation, flexibility and strength, and quiets the mind for deeper meditation.

INTRO TO IMAGE MEDICINE

Image Medicine explores the healing possibilities of Qigong, teaching readily accessible methods to see and remove energy blockages, which  promotes health by clearing pain and disease in yourself and others.

What will you get out of these workshops?

You may experience a deep release of physical pain, and/or energy blockages; an opening up in your soul to rejuvenation, relaxation and quietness; a new sense of presence and spaciousness and happiness.

Qigong is an adventure, an exploration of the internal universe. You may come for self-healing, for peace, to gain energy, to seek answers to life’s questions, or to explore who and what we are. With a small class size and the compassionate, engaged and healing presence of Claire and Jeregtu, you are likely to get what you’ve come for, and possibly, much more.  Even if you have taken Level 1, Level 2 and/or Image Medicine before, there is always something new that unfolds in each experience with Claire and Jerigtu.

Prerequisites:
Level 1 is recommended before taking Level 2 or Image Medicine, but not required, especially for those with prior experience in Energy healing and mediation.

ZY Qigong Level 2 – Series, with Karen and Jean

Level 2 opens the heartgate  and integrates and relaxes the energy body. We continue to work out physical blockages, but at a deeper level than in Level 1, releasing energy patterns as well.  The energy in the body, just like the physical body, begins to feel  more harmonious and strong. We also build the middle Dantien, the heart chakra, and quiet the mind. In Level 1 we experience the physical body calming down and decoupling from the mind’s agitation. In Level 2, the relaxation of the energy body influences the mind: the mind slows down and becomes peaceful and quiet. This is the calm state, also known as the qigong state.

ZY Qigong Level 2 practice will help you to:

  • Further increase your energy

  • Improve your immune system

  • Balance your emotions

  • Increase personal power, boundaries

  • Gain openness, non-judgment, leading to compassion for self and others, and unconditional love

Grandmaster Xu Mingtang

Grandmaster Mingtang Xu

Mingtang in Swiss AlpsXu Mingtang is the current Grandmaster and lineage holder of Zhong Yuan Qigong, a system that is thousands of years old.  He comes from an ancient Shamanic and Kungfu family closely associated with the Shaolin monastery. One of the foremost teachers and healers in Chinese medicine today, he has taught the ZY Qigong system to more than 40,000 students in at least 17 countries, and he supervises clinics throughout the world.

Xu Mingtang comes from a family of famous surgeons in China’s Henan Province.  Beginning in early childhood, he studied Wushu with his great grandfather and learned Shamanic practices (Wu Yi) from his grandmother.

While still a child, he began training with his first real teacher, an 80-year-old Shaman woman from his village.  There he learned the spiritual healing methods and other practices that are central to the ZY Qigong system.  He studied Traditional Chinese medicine along with his technical studies and his skills were so great that he worked as a hospital diagnostician during his third year of University.

Grandmaster Xu started teaching ZY Qigong outside of China in 1991.  Since 1998, he has led annual international Qigong retreats in Shaolin.  As the current lineage-holder of ZY Qigong, he teaches ZY Qigong and Image Medicine to all levels of students.  Currently, Grandmaster Xu divides his time between his teaching and research at Kundawell Institute in Beijing, and his many healing, teaching and speaking engagements throughout the world.

Dr. Zhao Fuxue

Dr. Zhao

Dr. ZhaoDr. Zhao is one of China’s top Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors and Herbalists, and is one of only 80 doctors in all of China who passed the highest level Chinese Medical Tui Na and Massage exam last fall. He, like ZY Qigong’s Grandmaster Mingtang Xu, grew up in Henan Province, learning techniques from his grandfather that have been passed down through his family lineage. One acupressure method, called ‘Dian Xue’ in Chinese (referred to as one of the ‘Shaolin monk methods’) is no longer taught in schools or available in the current medical texts.

In addition, Dr. Zhao has spent a lifetime studying rare texts to learn most effective treatments.  Dr. Zhao is a much sought after healer in China; people travel from far distances to receive his care.  Karen Fletcher has been studying with Dr. Zhao at is clinic in Zhengzhou, China.  And Dr. Zhao has visited the US twice since 2009.  He is eager to share his special knowledge with students of the West, in order that traditional, older Chinese medical knowledge is preserved.  He works with needles, herbs and massage.

Dr. Zhao and EWWE are collaborating to develop a program of educational exchange, so Western acupuncturists and other health professionals can learn directly from Dr. Zhao, both in China and the US, both in person and with virtual lectures.  If interested please contact Karen Fletcher at  karen.dancingqi@gmail.com
